3D web designing has become more and more popular these days, especially when advanced 3D web tools are available and many new web designing technologies have come into being.
The first ones that come into my mind are for example Adobe's Flash, 3DVIA Virtools, Vivaty, Ajax 3D, Papervision3D, Swift3D, WireFusion, 3DMLW and others. Some of these are more known and some of these are making their first steps in broader publicity. Adobe's Flash is probably currently the most popular and 3DMLW is the youngest, although not the poorest at all.
Step by step I will try to compare these different possibilities with each other and if there's anything I have missed or misunderstood, don't hesitate to leave me a comment on it.
